The application process consists of the following steps:
With KEF’s permission, the selected university places an ad in the university’s newspaper
• Students start registering on the university’s portal by visiting the website www.kamran educational foundation.org, and completing the KEF application.
The department head of the University’s scholarship department calls the recipients for an interview to make sure that the selected student is in need of the funds and that she/he does fulfill KEF’s requirements of being deserving.
Priority is always given to disabled students if there are any in that institution.
The interview process takes about 2 months. Once the university selects the most deserving students, they send a complete file of 100+ beneficiaries’s applications through google docs.
Kef carefully checks each application and makes sure that all required documents are attached. If anything is missing, KEF reaches out to Pakistani university to provide the missing documentation.
After KEF completes this process, it transfers funds via its bank to the selected university’s scholarship account through wire transfer.
In the case of students who are continuing scholarship recipients, the university deducts the balance that is owed by the students and gives them the remaining allocation. That way their balance is paid off and they are ready for the new year.
Donating is not the only way to support. KEF is always looking for volunteers to help us with distributions of the brochures at the Daly City location. KEF also can give college credit for volunteer work for non-Profit. Paid Internship will also be provided. Contact us for more information.
